Quebrada de Cafayate

a tour through the mountains of Salta culminating in the Quebrada

When I first arrived to Argentina, we flew out to Tucumán province, passing up through the Quebrada de Cafayate to stay in Salta for the last night. However, I was still shocked that I was outside of the United States, tired from hiking and classes, and wanting to get settled into my new home, and I didn't appreciate the beauty of Argentina as fully as I should have. However, a year later, I was ready to see these amazing sights and this trip was a priority. After spending the night in Cafayate, we wandered around the town square, and then headed up through the beautiful red hills in the afternoon sun. It was an amazing trip, and I loved seeing these beautiful mountains once again--this time with my camera ready, even when we weren't stopped.
