<--RETURN TO PHOTO INDEX Hanging Out in Mendoza people & places around the city of Mendoza and Hostelling Internacional Mendoza Besides visiting the beautiful mountains of Mendoza, I also enjoyed the city's pleasant location in an oasis. In late February, 2001, towards the end of Argentina's summer, the weather was beautiful, there were plenty of short treks to do around the city, and lots of fun to be had. I made some cool friends on this trip from staying in the hostel, and I suggest that every young person travel and stay in hostels! You meet people from around the world who are almost always open-minded and fun. Some of us went a few times to the Parque San Martín (Park San Martín) to see some of the city's monuments and enjoy the sun. Later on, some others and I went to Cacheuta to enjoy a day in the warm thermal baths. Mendoza is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. I had a great time! (16 photos)
