San Martín de los Andes

located in the Lakes Region of upper Patagonia

San Martín de los Andes is a small town styled after the Alpine Region in Europe. It is located in the Lakes Region of Patagonia, known for its skiing and lakes colored in a variety of shades. My friend Mona and I undertook this trip to the region at the beginning of March, just before the end of summer and the beginning of classes. Unfortunately, we arrived just as the hot summer weather changed, and the rain set in. However, we managed to see a lot and meet a lot of people as we continued moving along the region.
